How to get a good report, and what the answers mean.
How to take a good Spark profile
- Wait until the server has been up for at least ten minutes after a restart, and until players are online.
- Run
/spark profiler start --timeout 600while the lag is happening. - After ten minutes Spark prints a link. Paste it into Pirdel.
Ten minutes gives the clearest result. Under five minutes, right after a restart, or with nobody online, the profile usually cannot show the lag, and Pirdel will say so.
What the labels mean
- Safe: low risk. Fine to try.
- Test first: try it on a copy of the server or at a quiet time.
- Risky: could change gameplay or break something. Back up first.
- Hardware: the honest answer is that the server needs more CPU or RAM.
Common questions
The report says "unclear". Why?
The profile was too short, taken when nobody was online, or taken when the server was not lagging. Take another one with the steps above.
Does Pirdel need access to my server?
No. It reads the Spark link only. We never ask for logins, passwords or panel access.
Will it change anything on my server?
No. It gives advice. You make the changes, and the risk labels tell you how careful to be.
The answer looks wrong. What do I do?
Use the "Was this right?" box at the bottom of the report and say what the real cause was. Every wrong answer is looked at and the rules are fixed.
Which servers does it work with?
Minecraft servers that can run Spark, such as Paper, Fabric and others. Other games come later.
How long do you keep my report?
See the privacy notice. We keep the diagnosis, not the raw profile.
