Terms of use
Last updated 20 October 2026. These terms cover Pirdel Reports at app.pirdel.com, run by Pirdel. By using it you agree to them and to the privacy notice.
In plain English
Pirdel reads a public Spark link and suggests why a Minecraft server is slow and what to try. It is advice, not a guarantee. Back things up before you change anything, and test changes on a copy where you can. Please do not copy or scrape our work.
1. What the service is
Pirdel Reports analyses Spark profiler reports using fixed rules and gives suggestions with a risk label (Safe, Test first, Risky). The automatic report is provided free during early access and may change, be limited or stop at any time. Paid reviews are a separate paid service, described in section 8.
2. Advice, not a promise
- Reports are suggestions based on the data in one profile. They can be wrong or incomplete, and confidence ratings are our best estimate.
- You are responsible for what you change on your server. Back up first, and test changes where you can.
- To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is", and we are not liable for loss of data, players, income or profit, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
- If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your legal rights, including the right to have a paid service carried out with reasonable care and skill.
3. Using it properly
You may use it for your own servers, or for servers you manage or support for others, including customer support replies. You must not:
- use scripts or bots to run reports in bulk, or get round the rate limits (hosts can ask for an API key);
- copy, scrape, resell or republish our reports, rules, fix wording or knowledge at scale, or use them to build or train a competing product or service;
- reverse engineer, probe or attack the service, or try to reach other people's reports or the admin area;
- submit anything unlawful, or anything that is not a Spark profiler report;
- pretend to be Pirdel, or suggest we endorse you, without our written permission.
Reports have private links. Anyone with a link can read that report, so share links with care. We may remove content or block access if these terms are broken.
4. Your data and ours
- Your server and your Spark data stay yours.
- By submitting a Spark link you give us permission to analyse it and to keep and use the resulting diagnosis, and any feedback you send, to run, improve and promote Pirdel, including anonymous and combined statistics. We will not publish your name or server name without asking you first.
- If you send feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
5. Who owns what
Pirdel, its software, rules, wording, design, name and logo belong to Pirdel, and all rights are reserved. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use the service and to share the reports you generate with your own players and customers. Pirdel is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Spark, Mojang or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB, and Spark belongs to its authors. Other names belong to their owners.
6. Hosting companies and the API
Hosting companies using Pirdel in a pilot, embedded in a support panel or through the API do so under a separate written agreement that sits alongside these terms, or on a paid host plan under section 9. API keys are personal to the company and must be kept private.
7. Changes and ending
We may update these terms and the service. Continuing to use Pirdel after a change means you accept it. We may suspend or end access at any time, and you can stop at any time. You can ask us to delete your reports.
8. Paid reviews
What it is. A paid review is a service where a person checks the diagnosis Pirdel produces for one Spark profile that you send us, and replies to you by email with what we think is causing the lag and what to try first. The automatic report on the home page stays free. Paid reviews are sold by Pirdel, Pirdel, Llanycefn, Clunderwen, Pembrokeshire, SA66 7LL, hello@pirdel.com.
Price and payment. The price is shown on the payment page before you pay, in pounds, and is the full price you pay. Payment is taken by Stripe on its own page. We do not see or keep your card details.
Delivery. We aim to reply by email within the time shown when you order, to the address you give at payment. That is our target, not a guarantee. If you have not heard from us, check your spam folder, then email us with your order number.
Care, not a promise of results. We will carry out the review with reasonable care and skill. We cannot promise a particular result, that the cause can be found from one profile, or that a change will make your server faster. The advice and responsibility terms in section 2 still apply, but nothing in them limits your legal rights as a consumer.
Starting straight away and your right to cancel. If you are buying as an individual and not for a business, you normally have 14 days to cancel a service. We start your review as soon as you pay, because you ask us to when you order. If you cancel after we have started but before we have finished, you pay for what we have done so far. Once we have delivered the review in full, you can no longer cancel.
Refunds. If we cannot deliver a review (for example the Spark link no longer works or does not contain enough data), we will tell you and refund you in full. We also offer this on top of your legal rights: if you are not happy with the review, email us within 14 days of delivery and we will refund you. Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Your bank decides how quickly the money appears.
Businesses. If you buy for a business, for example a hosting company, the right to cancel in this section does not apply.
One server per review, with follow-up checks. A paid review covers the one Spark link you submit and the server you tell us about. After you make changes, you can send us a new profile of the same server within 30 days of delivery and we will compare it with the first and tell you what to try next. We offer up to two of these follow-up checks with each review. To have a different server or a new problem reviewed, please place a new order.
9. Host plans (paid team subscriptions)
Who it is for. Host plans (Starter and Pro) are for businesses, such as hosting companies. By subscribing you confirm that you are buying for a business and that you can agree to these terms for it. Sections 1 to 7 apply to host plans too. A Partner plan is arranged separately in writing (see section 6).
What you get. The plan page in your team area shows what each plan includes: how many people and API keys a team can have, and whether “Powered by Pirdel” can be hidden on your branded pages. Each plan also has a fair-use figure for the number of reports your team runs in a month. It is a guide to what the plan is built for, not a limit: we will not block or charge you for going past it. If your team stays well above it for several months we may get in touch about a plan that fits better. We may change what a plan includes, but we will tell you at least 30 days before a change that makes your plan worth less to you.
Price and payment. You pay in advance, by card through Stripe, either monthly or, if you choose Annual, once a year (ten months’ price for twelve months). The price is shown in pounds on the payment page before you pay. If VAT or another tax applies, it is shown there too. The plan renews automatically each month (or each year, on an annual plan) on the same day until it is cancelled. Your card details go to Stripe and never to us.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from Manage billing on the plan page, or by emailing hello@pirdel.com. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: the end of the month on a monthly plan, or the end of the year on an annual plan. You keep your plan until then, and we do not charge you again.
Refunds. If you ask us within 14 days of your first payment for a host plan, we will refund that payment in full and end the plan. After that we do not refund part months, part years or unused time, including when you cancel an annual plan part-way through the year, except where the law says we must. If we end your plan for a reason other than your breach of these terms, we will refund the unused part of the period you have paid for.
If a payment fails. Stripe will try your card again. While it does, your plan carries on for 7 days from the first failed payment. If it is still unpaid after that, your team moves to the free limits (3 people and 1 API key, and “Powered by Pirdel” is shown on branded pages). Nobody is removed from your team and no key is deleted. People and keys above the free limits stay and keep working, but you cannot invite more people or create more keys until you are back under the limits or have a paid plan again. Updating your card, or subscribing again, restores your plan.
Price changes. We may change our prices. We will tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you, and it will apply from your next renewal after that. If you do not want the new price, you can cancel before it starts.
Deleting your team. If you delete your team, or ask us to, we cancel its subscription straight away so you are not charged again. The month or year you have already paid for is not refunded, unless the law says it must be (the 14 day refund for a first payment above still applies).
Business customers. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction, except where consumer law gives you the right to use your local courts.
