Privacy notice

Last updated 20 October 2026. Pirdel Reports is run by Pirdel. Contact: hello@pirdel.com.

The short version

  • You give us a public Spark link. We read the report, work out the diagnosis and keep the diagnosis. We do not keep the raw Spark data.
  • We never ask for passwords, panel logins or server access.
  • No advertising, no tracking cookies, no analytics, no selling your data.
  • You can ask us to delete a report at any time.
  • If you buy a paid review, payment is taken by Stripe. We never see your card details.

What we collect and why

WhatWhyHow long
The Spark report code and the diagnosis we produce (verdict, causes, mod or plugin names, server version, processor model, entity counts, coordinates of crowded chunks)To show you the report, and to improve the accuracy of PirdelUp to 24 months, then deleted
A scrambled (hashed) version of your IP addressTo stop abuse and limit how many reports one person runs per hourCleared after 30 days. The rate-limit counter is cleared after 24 hours
Feedback you choose to send (was it right, the real cause, notes)To check and improve the diagnosisUp to 24 months
Your approximate country, worked out from your IP address (the address itself is not kept) and a count of failed or blocked attemptsTo see roughly where people use Pirdel, and to spot problems or abuseUp to 24 months
If you choose to sign in with Discord: your Discord user ID and display name, the date you joined and last signed in, and which reports you saved to your historyTo keep your reports together and let you find or delete themUntil you delete your account (you can do this yourself on your account page, and download your data there too)
If you buy a paid review: your email address (given to Stripe at payment), the Spark report code, the amount paid, the date, the order status, any delivery note we add, and anything you choose to tell us about your server (your mods or plugins list, hosting plan or specs, player numbers and your question) together with the review we write for youTo take payment, deliver and reply to your review, handle refunds and complaints, and keep the financial records the law requiresYour email address, what you told us about your server and our notes and review text are deleted 12 months after delivery. The order record (amount, date and status) is kept for as long as the law requires for accounts and tax. Orders that were started but never paid are deleted after 30 days
Basic server logs kept by our web server (time, address, page)Security and fixing faultsShort rotating logs, normally under 30 days

We do not store the name or ID of the player who ran Spark, the raw profile, or your server's address. Please do not put personal details in the feedback boxes.

The contact form on pirdel.com is covered by the website privacy note.

If your hosting company uses Pirdel (host teams)

A hosting company can set up a team so its support staff run reports together. For a team we keep:

WhatWhyHow long
Each member's Discord user ID and display name, their role (admin or staff), and who ran which team reportTo let the team sign in, see its history and manage who has accessUntil the person is removed or deletes their account
Reply templates the team writes (greeting, opening and closing lines, sign-off, tone)To write the reply in the team's own wordsUntil the team deletes them
The team's company name and colourTo show on the reports its customers openUntil the team changes or removes them
A Discord webhook address, if the team connects a channelTo post a short notice in the team's channel when a report is run. It is kept privately and never shown again after it is savedUntil the team replaces or removes it
API keys (only a scrambled version of each key is kept) and when each was last usedTo let the team's ticket system call Pirdel and to let the team revoke a keyUntil the key is revoked or the team is deleted
If the team pays by subscription: its Stripe customer ID and subscription ID, the plan, whether it is billed monthly or annually, the subscription status, the date it is paid until, whether it is set to cancel, and the date of a failed payment. The billing email address, business name, billing address and tax number the admin gives to Stripe at checkout are held by Stripe, and we can see them in our Stripe account. We do not copy them into PirdelTo switch the plan on and off when payment succeeds or fails, to open the billing page for the admin, to cancel the subscription if the team is deleted, and to keep the financial records the law requiresThe Stripe IDs and status are deleted with the team. The record of what was paid, when, is kept for as long as the law requires for accounts and tax

Team admins can see and delete the team's reports, download the team's data (members, settings, reply templates, API key names and reports) from the Members page, and delete the team. Deleting a team cancels its Stripe subscription first, straight away, with no refund of the month already paid. If the cancellation fails the team is not deleted and you are told. A team on an arrangement paid by invoice or by hand is stopped by emailing us. Names you type into the reply box to address a customer are used to write the reply and are not saved with the report, but they do appear in the page address while the reply is on screen, so they can show up in our short-lived web server logs. A team's reports are visible to that team's members and to anyone who has the report link. The hosting company is responsible for its own customers' details.

Where the data comes from

Spark reports are created by your server and published by Spark at spark.lucko.me. Anyone with the link can already open them. Pirdel is not made by, or connected to, the Spark project.

Legal basis

Under UK and EU data protection law we rely on contract (to take your payment and deliver a paid review or host plan you ordered), legal obligation (to keep accounting and tax records), legitimate interests (running, securing and improving the service in the way you would expect), and consent where we ask you for something extra, such as permission to quote your feedback.

How we use diagnosis data

We use the diagnosis and your feedback to make Pirdel more accurate, to count how often it is right, and to produce anonymous, combined findings (for example, "most common causes of lag"). We will not name you or your server publicly without asking first.

Who else sees it

Our servers are hosted in the EU. We do not sell data or share it for advertising. A hosting company that uses Pirdel under a pilot or agreement sees the reports it creates, and is responsible for its own customers' details.

Payments. Payments for paid reviews and for host plan subscriptions are taken by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and never to us. Stripe also receives your email address and may collect your billing address, and device and fraud-prevention information, under its own privacy policy. For a paid review we receive your email address, the amount and whether the payment went through. For a host plan we receive the subscription details listed above, and not the billing email address. Our replies to you are sent from our email service provider.

Newsletter

If you sign up to the Pirdel newsletter, we collect your email address only. We use it to send you the newsletter, about once a month: lag fixes, mod and plugin tips and Pirdel updates. We only do this if you tick the consent box and confirm your address using the link in our confirmation email. Our legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email, or by emailing hello@pirdel.com. We keep your email address until you unsubscribe. We use MailerLite to send the newsletter, so your email address is processed on their systems. Using the free report or buying a Pirdel Review does not add you to the newsletter.

Your rights

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. To delete a report, email hello@pirdel.com with the report link. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local regulator.

Security

Connections are encrypted, the admin area is protected by a private key, the database is backed up daily and backups are kept for 14 days. No system is perfectly secure, so we keep the data we hold small on purpose.

Cookies

Visitors to this tool do not get any cookies. We use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to count visits and see which pages and buttons are used. It sets no cookies, keeps no personal profile of you, and is skipped if your browser sends Do Not Track. It is not used for advertising, it is never loaded for signed-in hosts or staff or on white-label reports, and the private link of a report is replaced with a placeholder before anything is sent. If you choose to sign in, one cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days (it holds a random code, nothing about you), and a short-lived one protects the sign-in itself. Both are strictly necessary for signing in, so there is no advertising tracking and no cookie banner. Our own staff sign-in sets one cookie so they stay signed in. Our paid review pages set no cookies. The optional newsletter box on the report page and the review thank-you page loads a script from MailerLite, which stores a random identifier (ml_guid) in your browser's local storage so its form can work. The rest of the site does not load it. The payment page is run by Stripe and may set its own, which are described in Stripe's cookie policy.

Signing in uses Discord. We ask Discord only for your user ID and display name. We never receive your email, password, servers or messages. Discord has its own privacy policy.
